March 10 - Adelaide, Australia
This morning we awoke to a gorgeous full moon setting just outside our cabin. I got a couple of pictures, but they really don't capture it fully. I do like the Regent logo in the middle though.
Then came the Cunard ship, Queen Mary 2. She berthed right in front of us.
Today was my dermatologist appointment at noon. We decided to take an Uber and since we weren't sure how long that might take, we allowed plenty of time. It turned out to take about 10 minutes for the ride to arrive and about 25 minutes to the doctor's office. So to kill some time, we went to a nearby Woolworth's which is a supermarket. We needed a few things, like face cleanser, and had a good look around. Here is one notice we saw. I didn't notice that the last bit is blocked out, but you get the idea.

Good news from Doctor Lee - my little spot is just a seborrheic kerotosis lesion - what our doc at home also calls a "barnacle" - and completely benign. Michael felt relieved. And also good news, our travel insurance company had already contacted the office to let them know they would be taking care of the bill.
On the way back, we were driving along on a beautiful day with our Indian driver in his hybrid Toyota, watching the outskirts of Adelaide go by as the Proclaimers sang "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" on the radio. Another one of those moments that sticks in your mind for a long time. Back on the ship we spent the rest of the afternoon around the pool. It's been very warm here the last 2 days. Definitely did not need the Regent jacket.
The ship is now on an enhanced sanitation level which means that we cannot serve ourselves at the buffet again. And we have certainly noticed even more frequent cleaning than usual of public areas like tables and handrails. We are told this is not due to any illness on our ship, but is a company-wide policy out of an abundance of caution. We're still waiting for an update on our itinerary.
Had a lovely dinner with Tim and Maureen at Prime 7 and then went to the show. It was an acrobatic and juggling couple, but we left about halfway through. It was OK, but not good enough to stay up late for.
