March 5 - At Sea

Although the alarm went off at our usual 6 am, we decided to take a day off and rolled over for some more sleep.  The Coffee Connection was very quiet when we got there around 8:00 am.  The lecture was about the fall of the British Empire by Terry Bishop.  He can certainly pack a lot into 45 minutes! I had another massage today which was wonderful again.  Not sure why, but she went for a bit over 60 minutes, although it was booked for 50 minutes.  No complaints from me. We are creeping along at about 10 knots on our way to the next port.  And when we look at the map of our travel on the TV, we see that we did a big loop after leaving Burnie.  It's just across the Bass Strait about 350 miles, but due to scheduling, we have to take it slowly.  To Tasmanians (aka Tassies), the island of Australia is known as the "mainland" and it's "just across the pond".  And to New Zealanders, Australia is also just across the pond.   The weather...
