February 4 - At Sea

After the lecture (Exploration focusing on Capt. Cook), I headed to the craft activity and made a bracelet.  About as artsy crafty as I get. The whole ship was without toilets for an hour or so this morning; a problem with the vacuum system.  Thank goodness it didn't last long. This afternoon I had a wonderful massage using up some of the shipboard credits we have.  Between the rocking of the ship, the warm table and the wonderful massage, it was all I could do not to fall asleep.  And not only did I get all 5 of the Mensa questions right, but my trivia team finally did well and got 14/15 today.  That was still only good enough for second, but we'll take it. Tonight was dinner with Maggs and Bob again.  Maggs took a tumble a few days ago so she's sporting a few bruises on her arm and a gash on her head, but her wonderful attitude is getting her through it. Back in the cabin we found another gift for being a World Cruiser - a nice insulated coffee...

February 3 - At Sea

Technology is an amazing thing.  We're having our mail forwarded to Anna so she can review for anything that needs action.  We get the daily email from the USPS showing first class mail coming that day.  Once the forwarding took effect, we don't see the mail being forwarded but there was one piece that apparently missed the forwarding.  It was an invoice from my eye doctor.  I called their office from the middle of the Pacific this morning, using wifi calling, and was able to give them a credit card number to pay the bill.  I am blown away by the things we can do now.  We've also been able to have a couple of video calls with our kids.  Unfortunately, the call to Anna happened while she was driving (Russ was holding the phone) so between them  being in a moving car and us being on a moving ship, it was poor quality, but still - what a wonderful world we live in. Don't think I mentioned another perk for World Cruisers - we get a printed copy...
