February 15 - At Sea

Today is Michael's birthday.  Besides the well wishes from the family via text messages, our cabin was decorated and he received a birthday card from Nunzio and Sienna, his Italian teachers. This morning's lecture was Prime Ministers, Part I.  It was very enjoyable but I'm not sure he's going to make it through to present day since he only covered from 1939 to 1957 today and at that, he ran over his allotted 45 minutes. After lunch, I read for a while near the coffee bar.  It's a nice location if you want to put your feet up and you'll always see someone you know coming by for a coffee or on the way to somewhere.  I got a picture of a lovely view from there, although I can't really do it justice. The Captain said we'd be crossing the International Dateline today at about 3:08 pm.  I suddently feel older.  But the ship won't make any changes until midnight so we'll wake up on Monday, not Sunday,  and miss February 16 altogether.  But ...
